The popular smartphone OEM, POCO, has recently released its third tablet in the series. Dubbed POCO X3 Pro, this edition brings together some of the best elements of previous models, while also packing some new features.
Ultimately, the POCO X3 Pro is worth considering for those looking for a good and sturdy device with a sizable screen and a reasonable price tag. But it is not as good as its older sibling.
In the smartphone world, there are many brands that have become popular, including Xiaomi, OPPO, OnePlus, and Vivo. POCO, on the other hand, is a relatively new player, and its entry into the smartphone world was marked by the launch of the POCO F1 in 2018. But after the launch of the POCO F1, the brand has remained relatively silent. It was not until 2018 that POCO released its second smartphone, the POCO F2. And the third one is the POCO X3.
Should I buy the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro?
The answer to this question depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a high-end phone that can do a bit of everything and is available at a reasonable price, the X3 Pro is for you. If you’re looking for a budget phone that can do a lot of things, the Poco X3 is for you.
It’s hard to find a single category of phone that doesn’t have a Poco in it, but in this case, the X3 Pro really is special. The Poco X3 Pro is an upgrade of last year’s Poco X3 NFC, which is a very good budget phone that impressed us a lot. But the Poco X3 Pro isn’t just an X3, it’s a better version of that phone.
Design & build
The X3 Pro’s design has barely changed since last year, and we’re not sure why. While it’s much nicer than the Poco X3 NFC, it’s also bigger, heavier, and bulkier than last year’s model.
The Poco X3 Pro is a bit bigger and heavier than the Poco X3 NFC, and it feels just as cheap as its predecessor. It’s also bigger, although not quite as bulky as the Huawei P30 Pro. It’s still quite chunky, but the X3 Pro isn’t quite as heavy as the Huawei P30 Pro either.
Despite the Poco X3 Pro’s hefty size, the overall weight of the phone is surprisingly light, and it’s much easier to hold than last year’s model. There’s still plenty of heft to it, but it’s much easier to hold and doesn’t feel as bulky.
The overall build quality is pretty good, and we didn’t have any issues with the display, the buttons, or the ports. There are a few issues with the speaker grills on the front, but that’s nothing new.
The front is made up of glossy black plastic, which looks quite premium, and the buttons are placed on the right side.
At the bottom is a USB-C port, and the top is covered by a glass panel, while the back is made of glass.
Specs & performance
A good smartphone processor is always needed for a smooth user experience. However, the Poco X3 Pro has the best mobile chip with a processor speed of 2.96GHz. The Snapdragon 860 G is Qualcomm’s first 7nm SoC, which is the same processor used in the Huawei P30 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro. It’s a little bit faster than the Snapdragon 710, which is used in the Poco X3 NFC.
The POCO X3 Pro has a Snapdragon 860 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB ROM, and a fingerprint sensor. It also has a 3D glass back with Gorilla Glass. The POCO X3 Pro is the first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor. This makes for faster unlocking speeds and better security. this phone comes with Snapdragon 860 which is the latest in fast and efficient mobile processors. It has up to 2.96GHz Octa-core CPU, Adreno 640 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB ROM.
Display
With its 6.67-inch DotDisplay screen, the POCO X3 Pro has an improved screen ratio for an immersive visual experience. The POCO X3 Pro also features a 20:9 aspect ratio, FHD+ display with high pixel density. It supports up to 3900 color ranges and an ultra-sensitive capacitive touch screen that supports wet finger detection. It is still the same as the original, but Xiaomi has made a few changes to the screen itself. The resolution is slightly lower, and there’s also a small notch at the top, but the screen still uses the same AMOLED tech. This makes the display incredibly bright, and the new notch doesn’t affect viewing angles, so it’s still easy to use in direct sunlight. The display isn’t perfect though. The colors are accurate but muted, while the contrast is lower than before, and colors can be washed out easily. There’s also a weird glow around the edges of the display. All in all, the screen isn’t bad, but it’s not great either.
This is not the first time that this phone has been released into the market. With this release, Xiaomi has increased its global market share in mobile phones. At some point, this was their flagship model and it is still considered one of the best displays for smartphones available on the market today.
Xiaomi’s newest release of POCOX3Pro also boasts an impressive display with a 39-inch distance from top to bottom, making it ideal for watching movies or playing games at home or on the go with friends and family
Camera
While the specs are all great, it’s the camera that really sets the Poco X3 Pro apart. POCO X3 Pro has a versatile camera for both professional and casual users. It has AI capabilities that can help users to capture better shots with ease. With its 48MP+8MP+2MP +2MP AI quad rear camera, it can capture 4K videos (30fps) and 1080p videos (30fps). It also features the 48MP main camera with f/1.6 aperture, 6P lens, and 8 MP front-facing camera. The 6P Lens ensures that the images are clear in low light conditions too!
POCO X3 Pro features a unique design that has three elements that are arranged in a triangle. It is slim, sleek, and stylish. it has a 4K video recording function for professional videos with 30fps and 1080p for smooth videos with 60fps also equipped with two 16MP cameras on the back which enable 3D scanning!! POCO X3 pro is equipped with a variety of sensors for capturing stunning photos
Battery & charging
The Poco X3 Pro comes with a 5160mAh battery and supports fast charging. This is a fair amount of capacity, this smartphone comes with Quick Charge 3.0 and a built-in lithium-ion polymer battery, has been designed to last the entire day on a single charge. . Charging it up is never a problem since the device comes with a built-in 33W charger that accepts USB Type-C Charger input. We found that you can get a full day of heavy use out of the Poco X3 Pro, even with heavy use of the camera. That means you’ll be able to take loads of photos or play lots of games. It’s a good phone for taking advantage of its display and its processor.
Software
POCO X3 Pro comes with Android 11, which is the latest operating system by Google. It has lots of features like an AI assistant that can learn your behavior and provide suggestions to take better pictures, AR augmented reality games, watch movies in 3D, voice assistant, gesture navigation, and support for automated firmware upgrades. There are plenty of customization options, but there are still some things you can’t change. For example, if you want to quickly open an app or set a timer, it’s all too easy to accidentally tap on the floating window.
POCO X3 Pro also has a facial recognition feature that can unlock the phone or even pay for things using face recognition or fingerprint. It offers a super-intuitive navigation system for power users with its fingerprint gestures and ability to launch 20+ apps at once. With this phone, you need not worry about losing or misplacing your phone because it has a secure lock screen that integrates with your Google account. The POCO X3 PRO also comes preloaded with tons of security-conscious features including face unlock, app sandboxing, encrypted storage space, support for over 10 languages including English and Spanish, password manager integration with LastPass to name a few
Verdict
We recommend this phone because it’s easily customizable to match any personality. The battery life lasts for days, the camera has a wide range of features, and the performance is top-notch. POCO X3 Pro is a budget phone with a lot to offer at a reasonable price.
